The Importance of Excellence in Partnership

Three critical themes are consistently present in our ongoing work to deliver the most powerful programs for positive, lasting outcomes; partnership, methodology and scientific evidence. Inexplicably intertwined, Oceanseed Project would be nowhere near as impactful if appropriate attention were not dedicated to each, in everything that we do.
Certainly, the Oceanseed Project team is proud of the evidence based programs we provide and the profound, positive impact that they have on the lives of our youth participants, their families, our shared communities and world. That said, our efforts would be far less reaching and significant if it were not for our close working collaboration, on achieving shared objectives, with strong, action-oriented partners.
Oceanseed Project cherishes all of our amazing partners. In doing so, Oceanseed Project places the utmost priority on ensuring that all of our partnership relationships are both properly supported and effectively utilized. Done well the results evidenced through this approach are staggering.
There is no better example of this than our partnership with The Santa Cruz County Office of Education. The largest educational provider in Santa Cruz County, The Santa Cruz County Office of Education (SCCOE) ensures quality educational opportunities for all students, coordinates resources between the California Department of Education and local services and additionally provides vital programs including alternative education, outdoor science school, training in green careers, special education, regional occupational programs and district services such as professional development, job training, fiscal services and much more.
Oceanseed Project works closely with Santa Cruz County Office of Education Superintendent Michael Watkins and his excellent SCCOE team in a variety of ways. While there are an array of essential elements that contribute to making our collaboration and programs a successful, it is through our partnership that we are able to make them most relevant, powerful and far-reaching. As a result of our close relationship and collaboration we are able to provide powerful solutions that address today’s most pressing needs.
Thank you Superintendent Watkins and Santa Cruz County Office of Education team for the opportunity to provide a most profound impact together.
